Has the social media a negative impact on human relationships?

We often hear that the social media have had a negative impact on human relationships, nevertheless I think is partially true. There are some issues that have a negative impact such as the use of cellphones in inappropriate places. But such others facilitate our life and have a positive impact on human relationships, as leisure time

On the one hand, the social media cause a negative impact since nowadays society spends more time at home watching TV or occupies with their cellphones, than being outside enjoying nature. The extreme use of social media breaks the origins of human life, the relationship between people. Furthermore, people are depending all daylong on social media that they do not realise that some places like meetings at work or even in your house when family is about to have dinner, the use of social media is totally disrespectful.

On the other hand, the correct use of social media is perfectly harmless. Giving the fact that technology advances, our life were and continue being quicker and effective. For example, if we want to be up to date simply by using out cellphones and browsing a newspaper we can get to know everything we want. In addition, social media is mostly use for leisure time. It can be watching a football match or chatting with your friends that people disconnect from their obligations and relax.

Taking everything into consideration, there are many good arguments to say that social media has have a negative impact on human relationships, but we have to be balance and notice that everything taken to extreme sides is negative. That is why the correct use of social media is not as damaging as we thinks so.

Review: Game of Thrones

One series that catch me a lot and from my point of view, is the best series ever created, is Game of Thrones. Is a novel written by George R. R. Martin, which was transform into HBO n°1 series since 2011 when released. I will talk about costumes and scenography, and how the story gives unimaginable twists of screw.

As the name says, there is a conflict between different houses to obtain the Iron Throne, situated in Westeros, the capital city. The main houses are: Targaryen, Baratheon, Stark and Lannister. Each one has its own characteristics and cultures, without mentioning the rest remainig all around Martin's world.

Costumes are one of the main aspects that highlights this series from others. They are very well reach and detailed, every character has its own original clothes and the effort made in scenography is appreciated. The different kinds of environments make the serie attractive and entertaining.

The director has succeeded in changing the story dramatically, you never know what will happened next. He is an expert in killing your favourite characters, so I recommend you not getting in love with them. Moreover, the ending of the chapters are always intriguing, and you will want to see more.

I would strongly encourage you not to miss this amazing series full of emotions and empathise. The use of extraordinary costumes and scenography, plus the unpredictable plot, make Game of Thrones a must to watch.

The importance of taking care cultural heritages

We often hear that is a priority for governments to aim preserving cultural heritage for future generations. While it is true that increasing the founding for museums is a possible solution, it is also necessary to teach the importance of cultural heritage in schools.

Firstly, the governments should increase the founding for museums to preserve the historian material recovered by palaeontologists, historians and archeologists. Museums are sources of vivid information that from my point of view are invaluable. Moreover, a child after visiting a museum from where he lives, feels himself with knowledge of his ancestors and where he come from.

Secondly, and the most important of all, is to teach the importance of cultural heritage in schools. Children should recognise the importance of monuments since they are little and learn how to take care of them, for example not graffitiing them. After all, they need to take into account that the cultural heritage they see nowadays are the ones their sons and older generations will appreciate in the future.

On balance, I believe that governments must aim to preserve cultural heritage by increasing the founding for museums, and  mainly schools must teach the importance of them giving the fact that are the evidence where we come from.

Harry Potter review

When I was a child I saw one of the best movies in my life till today. Harry Potter and the Philosopher stone is an absolutely riveting story about a boy with magical powers who lives with his non-wizards uncle and aunt, often called Muggles. His biological family hates him but suddenly he is invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to change his life.

In the magical World we get to know a poignant story life. Harry's parents were murdered by a powerful wizard called Voldemort who is oftenly call "he who must not be named". For our surprise, Harry is the only one who survived an attack from Voldemort and the wizarding world know him as a living myth, "the one who lived".

Benefits of training students to think positively

During the week, students fell that their time is not enough to make tasks, either they are homework from school or extra activities, for example training sports or playing the guitar. Thinking positively is a solution to organise your daily life. The benefits are the improvement of productivity and also increment of creativity.

If students from primary school are taught to think positively, they will improve their productivity since they are little. Empowering the work made in less time can help them to reduce the time needed for studying and practising. Moreover, productivity is not only apply at school, they can apply it in housework giving a hand to their parents.

While it is true that improving productivity is useful, from my point of view the most important benefit about thinking positively is the increase of creativity. Teaching students how to find different ways in which they can solve a problem through creativity will facilitate an answer to face it. However, creativity is not just for solving problems, is also helps teenagers break the ice between unknowns and make new friends.

Taking everything into consideration, there are many good arguments for training students to think positively. They can benefit themselves in improving productivity and increasing creativity. That is why I think that teaching students to think positively is a very useful tool for life.

Feelings towards older people


The principal objective of this report is to provide a description of the importance of how young people of my community feel about older people. There are several ways in which young people might treat the older ones. They may respect and admire them or either they are disrespectful and arrogant.

The information was obtained in an online questionnaire. Based on it, we can say that generally young people are respectful and conscious towards older people. They think they are a source of information and that their experience makes them precious and important. Giving the fact they lived almost a century, their knowledge is enormous and it is natural the mental and corporal fatigue.

On the other hand, some young people think that they are too old and so they can not do nothing. They do not take into account that older people have 7 times lived their age. The most severe ones are arrogant and disrespectful towards older people and they do not realise they could be their own grandparents. Fortunately they are the minority of the community.

I would therefore recommend parents give more importance the teaching of values and respect towards their elders. Mainly when they are children and they do not prejudge, because it will be more difficult when they grow up and they feel superior.

Hi Fran!

I’m glad you wrote to me, how are you doing? Someone very well known in my country and all around the world is Lionel Messi, the best football player, from my point of view. Nowadays, he’s famous because he plays in Barcelona Football Club, and he’s the captain of the Argentinian football team.

As we’re used to calling him “Leo”, is the only person in the world to win 5 Golden Balls and 4 were consecutive. Moreover, with Barcelona FC he won 30 titles, 8 in “La Liga”, 4 in “The UEFFA” and 5 in “Copa Del Rey”. He has the record for more goals scored in one year in “La Liga”, “La “Supercopa de España”, “el Mundial de Clubes” and “La Supercopa de Europa”.

Despite the fact that in Argentina some people don’t like him and compare him with Diego Maradona, another football player, he’s still a well-known player and the best for the majority of the country. Leo is also a lovely person even though some journalists talk nonsense about him because he went outside Argentina to play to Spain.

Is it better to shop in small local shops or big supermarkets?

In the town center of any city, there are different kinds of shops, you may go shopping to small shops or big supermarkets. The difference between one and other varies in the goods availably, the price and the employees’ attitudes.

To start with, the goods available in the local shops are limited. The products are scarce and may not have that one product you like. In contrast, the selection of goods available in big supermarkets are more varied, the amount of different products is wider than in local shops.

Secondly, the prices in local shops are higher and do not vary too much due to the limitation of products. On the other hand, the prices in big supermarkets between the same products but different brands may vary and find cheaper prices than in local shops.

Finally, the employees in big supermarkets may be ungrateful due to the amount of people who shop every day. But in local shops, employees’ attitudes may be more familiar and lovely due to the contact between people and employees.

To conclude, it is better to shop in big supermarkets because of the advantages of the goods available and the prices you could find despite the fact that local shops may treat you better

Improving workplace communication

Introduction

The principal objective of this proposal is to solve the problems of communication the Staff Department has. Every time we try to communicate some news, the majority does not get to know and afterwards there are problems in the execution.

Current problem

Talking with some members of the Staff Training and Development Department we get to the conclusion that is inefficient the use of emails. Despite that they are quick and easy in many cases it is inefficient, because day by day we receive a large amount of emails we do not even have a look at and the important ones may be pass by accident.

Recommendations

Due to the lack of efficiency I recommend to follow these steps:

•  No more emails will we send to inform something.

• In contrasts, a board will we set up in the lobby of the Department so whenever a meeting should we arranged it must be written there.

•  A group of Whatsapp will we form, in which ALL the Staff Training and Development Department must be inside it. It will just be used to inform about meetings, news, etc.

• If someone cannot assist to the meetings MUST inform the boss in his section.

If the recommendations are implemented, the communication between the Staff Training and Development Department should be better.

Disaster in Mar del Plata.

There was a very strong rain in Mar del Plata. The waves were moving so severely that they got to the street. It killed twenty six people and fifty were injured. This rain was the second most powerful in the history of Mar del Plata.

Everything started when the temperature in Mar del Plata changed from 35° to 40°. There was so much water that this strong rain plus the waves created a chaotic situation. People were walking around the streets screaming and shouting.

People had to get under any roof they found, so as to protect themselves. Thunders hit trees, and as a consequence, they fell down as papers. The sixth day, the sun came out and the water evaporated. Fortunately, experts said that next time it will not be as chaotic as this one.

People on TV said that it was the second most powerful rain in the history of Mar del Plata. “We are grateful that this rain was in August because tourists are not here, if this had happened in January, we estimate that the number of injured people would have been greater”.

At night the four brothers went to the closet, and they enter in. Inside there, they found a queen. This queen thought that she was the more powerful person in Narnia. Unless, Aslan the lion was there. Aslan hate the queen and vice versa. They had a fight, trying to see who was the most powerful! Aslan and the siblings won.

Aslan offered the power of Narnia to the four siblings, and they accepted. After10 years, they were riding a horse and they found the closet. They entered and they returned 10 years back. They were the same children like before.

The chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis is an incredible film that is set in England and mainly in Narnia. This beautiful film is about four brothers that have to defend this new world from the witch that tries to control Narnia.

This starts when the four brothers have to move to a new house, so as to be far from the  second war world. When they arrive, the little girl Luci, finds a closet. She tell this to his brothers, and they become interested in knowing  what is inside it. While investigating, they find another world. There, they find Aslan that is the lion that tries to kill witch soldiers. The four brothers become involved in the war against the evil ones in order to regain peace.

This amazing story is full of strange creatures and wonderful places. The voices of the characters are perfect, the setting is very useful to understand the the raising action. The main plot is full of descriptions.

I really recommend the Chronicles of Narnia because it is a good film to watch with your family or with friends. The characters in the story are awesome, while watching it your imagination will fly. They really shocked me. Their performances are excellent!

All the people were scared of Bob because of his very strong disease, so Bob was feeling very sad because he cannot see her friends.
